One of the many things I love about being a fitness photographer is the fact that I get to meet so many different and unique people as well as have the opportunity to visit them in their second home (their gym). I love seeing the diversity in each and every gym that I have the chance to shoot in.

I met Caitie at her crossfit centre in Tweed Heads Irongrit Gym, along with her partner Jared.  Caitie had never done a photoshoot before, so was a bit nervous in the beginning, but it didn’t take long for her to start to relax and have fun.

There was an awesome mural painted on the wall at the centre of ‘The Incredible Hulk’. We thought this would make the perfect background for our first few poses.

Monique assisted me with the shoot and together, we came up with some awesome poses and ideas using the equipment in the centre. Caitie was a natural and great at following direction. She was happy to give anything a go and by the end of the shoot in the centre, we had an extremely large variety of photos.

I loved every minute of the day working with Isaac. I was extremely nervous and not confident at all, yet Isaac and his partner made me feel relaxed immediately being professional and fun. Walking away from the photo shoot I felt so confident and proud of myself which I have never felt. I felt really good when I looked in the mirror and I believe the photos reflex how I felt. I would recommend Isaac to anyway I know that would want a photoshoot.

From there, we headed to the beach (which luckily, was right across the road) to take a few couple shots for Caitie and Jared. The sun was setting and the beach was BEAUTIFUL! The best part about the beach shoot, was that I did not need to give much direction at all. The majority of the photos that were taken were moments where Caitie and Jared were having fun and just being themselves. All I had to do was make sure the lighting was right and ensnare the special moment at the right time. We had such a great time working with this young, gorgeous, energetic couple and hope to see and work with them again in the near future.
